South Carolina Heroes Appreciated; more Educators to become Homeowners;really values its educators

The SC Housing Authority selected the Hero for the 2008 initiative as “Teachers”. You must have your South Carolina Teachers Certification and currently teach or have a contract to begin teaching within 60 days of closing on a home; must live and teach in South Carolina to be eligible. Funding available for teacher housing. In terms of everyday living no tool for our young people is as powerful as enhancing their ability to learn. This ability enables them to become the spiritually upright persons they can be. Keeping quality teachers in the area is a necessity. Local government as well as the financial sector is aware of this increasing need.

FMU Art’s Alive 2-Day Extravaganza April 5,6

Rain or shine and free to public This joyful celebration of the arts will take place at various locations across the college campus.
Art show will feature a variety of visual arts and fine crafts.
The FMU Artist Series for Friday, April 4 features the National Players performing
William Shakespeare’s The Twelfth Night or What You Will will be 8pm at Chapman Auditorium, McNair Science Building.
April 5th features The Call of the Wild based on Jack London’s work 2pm at the outdoor stage near McNair Science Building

Bruce and Lee Library is a hub of local activity.

The Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library has always been a crown jewel in the Florence, PeeDee Community when it comes to an outstanding resource for the growth and sharing of literacy opportunities. The state of the arts computer lab serves to attract citizens young and old to support the value of reading as a valuable tool in everyones’ present and future goals.
